These designs are well suited to industrial environments where rackmounting isn't available like a warehouse, testing facility, shop floor or store room. However, these versatile machines can be employed in a variety of ways. If you have a small communications room, (or "comm. closet" in many cases) space issues may prevent a server rack from being practical.

  Most wall mount systems operate with an external power supply connected through a gasket covered pass-thru hole in the side. This allows the unit to operate much cooler and therefore increases stability, an important factor in testing systems and other precision applications.  *14-Slot model pictured

  The Box IPC chassis is another option for solutions that require a compact design. A flip-open top design allows components to be neatly arranged for maximum space efficiency. The power supply unit is a special elongated design allowing for mounting inside the chassis for a truly stand alone wall mount or other surface mounted solution.

  Standalone IPC systems also come standard with rubberized feet and can be placed on a table top and used as a stand-alone system, allowing for placement flexibility, as well as portability should the need to relocate arise. Most designs can accommodate up to 6 slots for a broad range of installable devices and I/O options.
